Why is engineering education slowing down?

Popular discourse of the present time is every object and activity of the country has to become smart.

At time when we are preparing to become smart, our young generation is losing interest in engineering and technology.

The reason for losing interest is said to be the acute shortage of employment opportunities for engineering graduates.

Shortage of employment opportunities is due to stagnant economy. Unless new markets are created economic health is not going to improve.

The prescribed courses of Technical Education in the country have aged. The human history is there to witness that only scientifically advanced civilizations could flourish, others vanished.

Realizing these ailing factors and prospective economic conditions of the nation, GIT resolves to educate its students with new imaginations and creativities. Imaginations coupled with creativity offer innovations of highest value.

Besides covering the RTU syllabus for the award of B. Tech. degree, GIT from academic year 2018 - 19 is going to initiate in-house program for inculcating awareness among its students about latest scientific advances expected to create sustainable global technologically driven markets. God willing! GIT students so educated will remain on the forefront to meet global market workforce challenges.
